1/6 Scale WWII German Italian Chasuble Smock - MK1/6 Military’s Kit 1/6

When Her Majesty's troops landed in Italy, they lacked camouflage uniforms for hot, dry weather. Curiously, something that had never posed a problem in North Africa or Sicily became one in Italy! So (just like their Axis opponents!), they seized stocks of camouflage Italian model 29 fabric, including tent canvas. Deemed too wide, they cut it down the middle, adding a hole for the head and two straps on each side, and voilà—a chasuble! These chasubles were worn by British and Polish soldiers in Italy, as evidenced by numerous period photographs. Our model is constructed exactly like the real thing!
